SNOODIETM   MAKES HER DEBUT

An elegant and practical new accessory to keep women's heads                       warm and dry without “hat hair”

New York, NY - You're dashing across town to an important meeting and you want to look your best, but it's windy, cold, and drizzling.  You want something on your head and over your ears, right? A hat, a cap, a scarf. The problem with these familiar solutions?  The dreaded “hat hair” when you take them off.

Enter SNOODIE, LLC. Debuting for the fall and winter 2005 season, SNOODIE   tucks away in a purse or pocket for protection from wind and/or cold. Made of luxe fabrics such as velvet, micro fleece, wool, and metallic knits, SNOODIE slips on easily and stays snug without smashing and creasing hair the way hats do. Indoors, SNOODIE drapes around the shoulders to create an elegant cowl scarf.

SNOODIE was the brainchild of Dr. Shelley Reciniello, a busy New York professional woman. “I was always searching for something that would keep my head and ears warm without smashing my hair. One day, going through my closet, I found a tube top and wondered what it would look like on my head,” said Dr. Reciniello. “ I loved the way it fit and looked, so I had one made out of fine wool jersey. That was 20 years ago and just about every time I go out, someone in an elevator or restaurant asks me, ‘Where did you get that?'” Turning this personal solution into an accessories company became her dream.

Dr. Reciniello joined forces with a fellow woman entrepreneur and, together, they created an entire SNOODIE line to include sporty, romantic and glamorous fabrics with beautiful details and set about building a new company. “Just like the Pashmina was a very old idea made modern, SNOODIE is a reinvention of headcoverings women have been wearing for centuries,” said Jodie Collins, co-owner. “It has a certain retro magic that makes women feel elegant and look beautiful.”

SNOODIE made her debut at Accessories The Show at the Javits Center in New York on July 31st – August 2 nd to rave reviews: "Wow, what a great idea!"; "It's so Jackie O"; "So simple but completely different". From early reactions, SNOODIE promises to be the hot new accessory for the fall/winter and holiday season.
